  1. I was going to go, but the weather has me on call for work. My eight year old daughter was really looking forward to it, she loves going. Guess I'll have to settle for the Outdoor Sports show in a couple weeks.
  2. I use deer hair a lot. I prefer natural materials to synthetic.
  3. Very nice. I wish I had that talent.
  4. You finally get around to cleaning off your fly tying table and move some papers that have been there for a while, only to realize they're your divorce papers.
  5. Keep the whole skin, because if you have it, you'll eventually find a use for most of it, or know someone who can. The important thing is to dry it out correctly and use Borax.
  6. Thats awesome. I cant wait to hit that mark. After smoking cigars for 32 years, I finally quit last month after suffering a mild stroke. I cant believe how good I feel now.
  7. I had the same problem. I either took the glasses off or put on a pair of those reading glasses you get at the drug store.
  8. Welcome John. I'd love to see some of your flies if you get the chance to post some pics.
  9. I havent been around as much as I used to. Work has occupied too much of my time the past few years and I've been neglecting my fishing and tying, but thats about to change in the coming months. Lots and lots of new people here now, the place has changed, but its good to see some of the older members still here too. I've always said that this is the best site on the internet, and I've sure been missing it.
  10. Welcome Scott. You found the best site there is for fly fishing. That is some awesome furniture. I used to live in Livingston and spent some time in your neck of the woods.
  11. Sorry about your wife Brian. I hope your doing well. Ive been off for a while myself. But we know where home is and we always find our way back.
  12. The only thing a vise does is hold your hook. The rest is just prefewrence and what you tie and what you can afford. Remember, you dont need an expensive vise to be successful. Do I need a Regal? Absolutly not, but I sure like it and it was worth the money.
  13. Ive used it and really like it. Just use a little less tension on your thread and you'll be fine.
  14. I will definatly say a prayewr for your friend.
  15. Its been a while since ive been on and posted so I thought I better stop in and say hi. I'll be back on more as soon as work permits me a little time.
