Tool Tip: Polishing the Bobbin Holder Tube

Recommended Posts

What a simple little idea that is. I've had bobbins (bobbin holders I guess) that I could have salvaged with that. I've tried fine sandpaper and a few other things that never worked.

Who'd have thunk it. I have a stainless steel one I use for 3/0 because it breaks everything else. I'll try that but with knife sharpening compound since I'm not a jeweler. And it's a bobbin.

neat tip if you still have metal tube bobbin holders

nick youre right. its a bobbin holder :)

bobbin = spool

A bobbin is a spindle or cylinder, with or without flanges, on which wire, yarn, thread or film is wound.

Bobbins are typically found in sewing machines, cameras, and within electronic equipment.
