  1. Once upon a time this site was sponsored by J. Stockard. I don't know why that ended. Since the web provider was changed a lot of features that would attract new tyers are gone. Probably the biggest loss was the fly pattern data base. Thousands of fly patterns, with recipes that you could scan by member. Also gone are the Forums for posting trout flies, salmon steelhead flies, which would them be added to the data base. Being able to go to back pages is now impossible if there are more than 5. You used to be able to see who was online at the bottom of the page. You could look them up and see what, if anything, they were posting. I know the original administrators of this site have lost interest, which is why they changed to a cheaper provide which has not done us any favors. I so miss the days 10 to 15 years ago, when there were several new swaps every week. In those days most swaps would fill the same day they were posted. I just love swapping flies, but postage costs keep going up, they priced our international swappers out of the Forum completely. We used to have so many Canadian members whose flies I miss. Tight Lines my friends Fishin' Bob 🎣😎
  2. Hi swappers, While the site was down, I got four sets of great flies. Woodenlegs, Fruitrollup, Bill J and Rabbit Hole flies have all arrived. Thanks for joining, looking like a great set of files is building. Tight Lines to all, Bob 🎣😎
  3. Had to cancel this year, maybe next time.
  4. First set arrived today. Some spectacular parachutes from Trout Tramp.
  5. Thanks to everyone for the sign-ups. Glad to see some guys I have not had it a swap before. Just three spots left. 🎣😎
  6. This will be my 15th year of hosting this swap. Over 2,000 flies have been tied mailed and sorted for these swaps. It has been a privilege to host it. Tight Lines to everyone who ever tyed for it. Opening day of trout season, in many parts of the West, is the last Saturday in April. This year it is April 27th. Tie 12 of any trout fly, any stage, any style, any size. Usual rules apply, stamped self-addressed envelope or funds to cover postage, toe tags, mail before due date. Open to first 12 with, "I'm in". International swappers welcome with PayPal. Due date Monday April 3rd. That way I can get them back to you for your own opener. Over the last 14 years we have had a selection of flies to fit just about any fly-fishing situation. 1 - Woodenlegs - Received 2 - Psychoprince 3 - troutguy - Received 4 - Bill J - Received 5 - flytire 6 - Rabbit Hole Received 7 - jburge 8 - Fruitrollup - Received 9 - Heff2 10 - Trouttramp 11 - cphubert 12 - niveker SM - Fishin' Bob
  7. So what's the plan? How many do we tie? Do we wait to see if any more join?
  8. I will play, pattern: the famous TBD.🎣😎
  9. Sorry, I forgot to post that mine arrived early this week. Thanks to Kim for hosting another great swap and to all the tyers for some killer buggers.🎣😎
  10. I think a better question would be, "Who is your favorite tyer?" For the record mine is Polly Rosborough.
  11. Olive Trout Buggers went in the mail yesterday.
