New site: http://flypattern.org

Recommended Posts

Hi all!
I have been working on a new site this winter/spring: http://flypattern.org/

My goal is to preserve and present patterns from the classic old books, read more on http://flypattern.org/about - it is built to make it easy to search and discover patterns based on their materials and to be able to get substitute material suggestion automatically.

I have focused on classic salmon for now, but will work on trout/grayling/char when autumn comes.

Looks very good Havard. Would liked to have seen the Alexandra in the same format as the other fly pictures. A great way of preserving the history.

How have you gotten on with fishing the classics? We seem to be struggling for any salmon in UK rivers this year so I've just been trouting so far with dries.

No salmon fishing for me so far this season: heading over to the ASFI in Canada in two weeks time :)

Then it starts: Gaula & Reisa river for me later July/August, will bring a box or two with classics and my 14 foot splitcane :)

The rivers have been really low on opening so far over here, so not much to report on as I can see, some fish have been taken, but not much

Please post a report of your time in Canada, I look forward to

fishing that region at some point. Nice site by the way.
