  2. Not sure how you know the jaws are soft. Didn't say? Hardness test? Could use a little more info. Maybe the LAW is the way for you to go. Or LAW substitute like the VN Pro? But both will be considerably more. Think everyone paid full price whether they consider themselves pros or not.
  3. Saying the jaws are not made out of the tool steal described by HMH. I doubt that. No wonder they didn't follow up. I tied on a LAW for 14 yrs and don't have any issues tying on the TRV. Before I'm asked / price is the reason I no longer have the LAW.
  4. Bazzer putting a lot of negative feedback about the TRV all over. Not sure what his agenda is?
  5. Added note - If this is an issue for Waldron? He could start making them again. I would think at a higher price. Which I heard he has done / after retirement. But it would take care of the problem / if there is actually one. jmd
  6. Pretty much agree with all this. Had a LAW for years till I got a stupid offer that I couldn't turn down. Great vise. Still use a Regal. Stainless and Midge heads. Another great vise. Also use a Renzetti 3000. Nice for small hooks. LAW still the best / but hard to keep with the demand. Looks like HHM might be coming out with a LAW type jaw. Only thing similar is the jaws. VN vise / looks like an option if you can get one. High price / but? Personally can do everything I do on the Regal. jmd
