Recommended Posts

KHoss- two very nice ties, especially like the one with green.

CREAM- wow! I have just started with making my own poppers and I am VERY impressed by your painting skills. Yours are perfect. How do you do it?

Trial and error! Thanks for the compliments. :)

I wish my first effort at a spoon fly looked so good. Just a suggestion, instead of applying your epoxy over the body then applying the eye with an adhesive after, you can skip

that step by applying your eye before you epoxy. I also put eyes on both sides of my spoon flies and probably more for me than the fish I color in a little red for gills.

"Peacock Sword Nymph" these are my second try at tying a nymph pattern. Did I use too much hackle in the collar?

Wow! some great stuff posted for December.

Nice looking flys. I think I'll go tie some up now.

Go catch a fish,

Gary

One I tied for my brother in law from PEI...he's a dang good fly caster and lately he's been interested in restarting his fly fishing and learning to tie...hopefully this easy hairwing will inspire him to take the leap and out tie me

Starting to tie some different saltwater pattern. I have a long list of materials to order from J Stockard, but here's a couple I've done up tonight. This is the first bendback and surf candy flies I've ever tied, so they will only get better.
