Change size/color and this could work as a golden stone or skwala. hook - TMC 5212 #6 thread - UTC 140 burnt orange tail (shuck?) - Congo Hair orange ribbing - brassie wire copper body - dubbing rusty orange wing - Congo Hair grey legs - medium rubber brown indicator - parapost yarn hot orange head/collar - elk hair Mash barb start thread at head Clean, stack, measure (shank length) a clump of elk hair; trim to length, tie in with 2 soft loops, let it spin Trim butts, tie in CH and wire; fold, wrap to bend Dub thread/dub body Rib body; helicopter end, cover with thread Tie in CH; fold/tie down Push hair back, evenly distributed around hook Stroke hair back, tie down/pull tight Tie in legs Tie in indicator yarn Whip finish, SHHAN, trim indicator, wing, shuck, legs Trim out hair underneath Put it in your box till next year Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
