Hi all, sorry for my absence, the flies arrived last week, been on holidays to the Canaries so had some hectic weeks before that meeting deadlines and some hectic days afterwards starting up my experiments again. But now all is running and ongoing so I'll be around a bit more. The flies look great, some of them I think will work fine on seabass also, will let you know next spring when they have returned to our coastal waters. Thanks to all!

Mine went out yesterday, travel time so far varied between 3 days and 13 days to get to the US, so I should meet the deadline...
-
No tracking numbers available, but it takes between 6 and 10 days to get something over there so no reason to panic yet...
-
Sure will! Thanks all.
-
I'm in, will tie a peeping caddis nymph.
-
Have mine made it there yet?
-
Got mine yesterday, great set of Klinkhamers! This should make them trouts and graylings go crazy! Thanks all!
-
Thanks Herman, just send them along with the Klinkhamers or grayling flies. thanks all for this experience, learned myself some new flies to tie
-
They made over the atlantic already! Great flies all, thanks for hosting Deeky!
-
Mine were mailed yesterday, probably hoovering somewhere mid-atlantic now...

I've just read the topics involved, and must agree that some people tend to draw their conclusions a bit too soon. Probably I'm just too tolerant as it comes to these matters but I must agree with Herman and some others who tried to temper reactions a little that sometimes people get tied up in things that are way more important than hobbies and fun stuff. After all this all is just to have some fun, and of course it is unpleasant that a swap gets delayed or people drop out, nevertheless keep in mind it might happen to you as well and at that point you will be far more happy with some compassion instead of hard words and hasty conclusions. Happy swapping to all...

For those who are not familiar with circle hooks, these have an amazing way of clinching to a fish. The barb is absolutely redundant and I always remove it to prevent too much damage to fish which I usually to put back. In the previous picture one can just see the tip of the hook peeking though on top.

I have tied mine on a size 4, since I useually fish for pike in places (polder) where they only get up to 70 cm. The real big ones are out in canals which are far less fun to fish... They will be in mail this afternoon (morning for where you are). tight lines!

Found a free slot to work on them, they went out last saturday Looking forward to the others!
