Original had grizzly marabou throat but I preferred the hackle; use what you will. hook - Mustad 9671 #8 thread - Danville 6/0 black rib - small wire silver tail - grizzly marabou body - tinsel silver hackle - hen grizzly wing - calftail white topping - peacock swords mash barb/start thread; tie in rib, wrap to bend measure (gap width past bend) a clump of marabou; tie in, wrap to front (1 eye width back from eye), keeping everything as smooth as possible for the tinsel tie in tinsel; wrap to tail and back with touching turns (use as much tension as you can), tie off/trim counterwrap rib, helicopter end, cover with thread tie in (folded) hackle by tip; wrap, tie off/trim stroke fibers down/back, cover with thread measure (tips not quite to tail) a sparse clump of calftail; tie in/trim measure (tips even with wing) some peacock sword fibers tie in/trim, whip finish, SHHAN Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
