Whitner 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2014 I've been dying some grizzly capes. Loved this green. A little lighter than olive. I have a feeling a trout or red will hammer it.
Panama Red 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2014 That's a money fly brother! I've had great luck with flies like that, have also used pink or orange opal chenille for head with plastic bead chain eyes. Did you use kool aid for the dye? What's the flash material?
troutinturnie 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2014 I too wouldn't mind knowing the materials for the fly. Looks great
agn54 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2014 The trout will smack it for sure. With that flashy tail and you would also be able to get the occasional mack or blue passing by
Whitner 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2014 Hey guys, I used Rit dye. It was a combo of yellow, green and a little brown. The flash is just a single wrap of EP brush. Can't wait to throw it.
