Long story short. A close friend of mine lost his 14 year old boy a year and half back. A raffle has been scheduled for July for the family and I promised a spinning rod to be put up for raffle.

Around here popular fishing consists of pond fishing for panfish and largemouth bass ( Bass average around 14") and river fishing for smallies and rock bass.

My question is, what is your go to spinning rod for this situation. Looking to build the best rod I can for this deserving event!

Also any input on guides would be appreciated. Have built recently on a 54" batson revelation with minimas and am pleased with it.
Thanks in advance for the info, Bob
