Playing around with dapping flies and found this one on a U.K. forum; kind of an untrimmed Spundun in a perpendicular orientation. Still looking for the proper WOIGO; added a bit more tan to the Rit Old Gold formula and came up a little too dark but it provided a neat shade that might work here as a western March Brown (not that the fish are going to be that particular about it anyway).

hook - Dai Riki 300 #10

thread - UTC 140 brown

tail - deer hair dyed golden olive (2 1/2 Tsp Rit Golden Yellow, 3/4 Tsp Rit Tan/4 cups water)

rib -x-small wire gold

body - dubbing ginger

body hackle - grizzly dyed golden olive

hackle - deer hair dyed golden olive
