While I agree with Norm's comment that you can tie wet flies or nymphs with dry fly hackle, I wouldn't be using up an expensive dry fly saddle on those patterns.  There will be some more webby feathers yes, but don't use those good long hackles on nymphs.  My dun saddle is a little darker, and I can tie flies from size 18 to 22 with it.  I get 6 to 8 flies out of just one feather.

Nice cape! You can tie some Gray Wulff flies, and a lot of different BWO patterns, Green Drakes, and a host of gray generic patterns.
