What does Fly Tyers Dungeon carry that most compares with Laser Dub?
And how close is it?
Ive only tried his Congo hair and that was a gift. I saw a video he did making a popper with his Frog dub and it looked interesting so Im going to order some to give it a try, Im also getting low on Laser Dub and thought Id buy some of it if its comparable.

Frog is new but the only one that sounds close.

Frog looks nothing like Laser Dub
Frawg does a little.
Looking for folks with first-hand experience actually used or bought the stuff .
Thx

Edit: if the Frawg Dub is close I guess one could add Angle Hair or Wing Flash to it.
I dont see any flash it.

Use the contact information and ask the source directly.  I'm sure they'll tell you what they have that most closely resembles Laser Dub.

I've heard a lot of good things about direct contacts with Fly Tyer's Dungeon.

I think starburst is what you want, I like using the golden peacock for baitfish patterns.

You could also comb out acrylic yarn then mix in ice dub and get basically the same thing...

FTD has cool stuff for great prices. I would also recommend starburst dubbing.

Still hunting for my first tarpon on fly!

Why are windknots in love with me?

Can't wait for that diy trip to Acklins!!

Got a reply
According to FTD Artic Wind is a long fiber close to Laser Dub and Starburst is like Ice Dub
Going to order a little of each.

Thanks for sharing the response, Mike.  I might have to order some too.

Why a substitute? Is Senyo Laser Dub no longer available?  I depend on that stuff for mayfly wings.

Not sure about Mike's reason, but when tying large bass streamers a single bag doesn't go that far.  A cheaper option is always good.

Salmobytes I would love to see what mayfly wings look like with laser dub. Never would have thought to try it for that purpose.
