Redspringer 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2017 Hi everyone...greetings from Southwest TX. I'm an avid fly fisherman, backpacker and aspiring fly tyer. I just recently picked up a used Regal vise and I'm getting my feet wet with size 20-24 midges....not for the faint of heart! Although we live in the desert, my wife and I try to plan as many fly fishing trips as possible throughout the year to locations fairly close like the San Juan, the Rockies, Gila Nat'l Forest. etc. Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I look forward to contributing and learning a great deal from this forum.Cheers -Jared

Redspringer 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2017 Welcome to the forum. How are those Regal jaws on the 24s? Thanks. They do the job but it's tedious. The snub nose on the traditional jaws make it challenging on 24s and up, no doubt. I've already sky-rocketed my first hook to somewhere unknown in the kitchen. I'm sure that I'll find it one day when I'm barefoot...lol.

Statistically, there is a much higher chance that your significant other’s foot will find it first. Even if you do not have one at the moment.
