SBPatt 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2019 Trying to burn up the rest of the 200’s I have. hook – Tiemco 200 #4 thread - UTC 140 fluoro orange tail - moose body hair body - tying thread hackle - dun wing - moose body hair head - deer hair legs - medium rubber black Mash barb, start thread at head Clean, stack, measure (1/2 shank length) a clump of deer hair; trim to length, tie in with 2 soft loops, pull it tight, let it spin, wrap to bend Clean, stack, measure (gap width past bend) a clump of moose hair; tie in, wrap to head and back Tie in (folded) hackle by tip Coat body with Sally, wrap hackle forward, stroking fibers to the rear; tie off/trim Clean, stack, measure (tips to tail) another clump of moose hair; tie in/trim img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48887346758_b1203f8d69_c.jpg[/img] Push deer hair back, evenly around the hook eye Hold fibers back, tie down Add legs Trim out deer hair underneath Whip finish, SHHAN, trim legs Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
