I voted Rainbow trout, but it has to be Wild rainbows like this guy I caught yesterday.

I voted for the rainbow. Since here in NJ the state stocks huge breeders and they put up one heck of a fight in the fall/winter months.

I'm one of the two other salmon guys. "Blue Back" Sockeyes fair caught on the fly are a religious experience...although a Springer steelhead runs a very close second their scarcity is a drawback...some places in Alaska you can still cross a stream on the backs of sockeyes and talk about smoked salmon or grill fare!

Uh pike and musky are warm water in my book. IMHO But I chose Steelhead ....... although Im going out for summer run steel tomorrow not exactly cold water

I voted for "Salmonide I missed" as in sea run cutthroat. Here in Oregon, I think it is unique enough to have its own category of fishy wonderfulness.

I voted for cutthroat. There's just something about the way a big old westslope cutthroat comes up for a dry fly that makes me love those fish. But I also love McKenzie River redside rainbows, brookies from a high mountain lake, browns in the Little Deschutes, steelhead anywhere and smallmouth bass from the Snake or Grand Ronde.

missed salmonid, i put huechen. I'm not sure the English name, but they live in eastern europe and are basically a tamien but easier to get to as you dont need to spen weeks crossing mongolia to fish for them
