This customer wanted some sort of red wraps on the rod which I usually try to avoid on green blanks since it is easy for it to become too "Christmasy" looking. So after some thought I decided to use a dark garnet without CP and then a titanium gunmetal trim which combined on the dark green blank have a very nice nostalgic feel to it rather than Santa looking lol.

His work looks just as good or better in person too Darrell, I own one rod he built for me and quite a few of the members here have one or several of them, pricing is very reasonable too.

+7 here V, each is a jewel, the colors and workmanship are top drawer and they throw quite well with my casting style...
