fshing2,

I never thought of buying fly-tying materials from ebay.   Thank you for sharing the thought!  Have you found any of the sellers willing to combine shipping (say I want to buy 6 "boxes" of hooks, each of a different size)?

I buy stuff from E-bay all the time.  If you're buying from one seller, it almost always works out to ONE shipping charge.  Of course, I often look for "free shipping" as part of the sale, too.

I've had really good buys from ebay.  Like mikechell, I look for "free shipping" and if the shipping charge exceeds what I think is a fair charge, then I leave it alone.  (Seems some sellers try to make their profit off shipping).  While I do buy stuff from China, I tend to stay away from feathers or natural furs and have found some beads that were a different size than advertised, but generally had good luck as long as I am carefull.

Sometimes I need expert advice which is why I talk to myself.

Yes as Mike said.

I find most sellers are willing to combine shipping.

If not stated in the ad just ask.

Or if available try the automated way: Click "Request Total" before paying then just follow prompts to buy.

(Request Total is on the upper right hand of your cart screen)
