  1. Last year the leader setup i used was quite simple, i used about 4-5ft of 40-50 mono followed by 60lb fluorocarbon about 2 ft long as a bite leader. I fished up north for Pike for a week and only changed leaders twice was really surprised at how the fluoro held up. This leader setup allowed me to cast 8-10 flies about 50-60 feet easily.
  2. try using some 50-80lb fluoro as a bite tippet i was using 50lb last week on pike and took about 8 fish to ruin the leader before retying, just a thought as its a bit more forgiving then the steel leaders and helps turn over the bigger flies imo.
  3. thanks just ordered some hope my poppers turn out similar to yours!!
  4. what are you using as a clear coat? I tried just a basic arts and crafts clear coat last night on some poppers i was working on and wasnt overly impressed with the way it turned out. Tonight im gonna try some epoxy to see how it turns out. Nice poppers by the way!!
