TFO, St. Croix are great rods
Just because it hasn't been mentioned L.L. Bean makes a good rod too and if you live near an outlet store you can get them pretty cheap on occassion.
Picking a rod is like picking a super model - sure we all have our favorites but I don't think any of us would refuse any of them.

A TFO pro series, 9 ft, 8 wt, 4 pc for $150? ..... Are they that good and that inexpensive guys?
