UV Ashers
Hook - Dry fly
Tail - Grizzly hackle fibers (optional)
Hackle - Grizzly or your choice of color
Body - Thread, tinsel etc. Your choice of color
UV Resin - Your choice of brand
Apply a coat of uv resin to the thread or tinsel body and wrap the hackle into the wet resin.
Cure resin with your uv flashlight.
Invented by Jack Howarth of Colorado Springs, the original pattern was tied tailless, with black thread and orange floss.

Well all be! I don't know if I remember anyone posting an Asher. This fly is the "lake fly" at Rainbow Lake, just west, up Cottonwood pass from Buena Vista Colorado. They always recommended it at the office/souvenir shop. Ah! the memories! Good ol Amber Asher. The green wasn't bad either. Thanks for the flash back flytire.

Those look great, you could probably use the same technique to improve the durability of a good number of flys with hackle.
