j8000 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2017 Well, I pulled my last four fish from the freezer and after a long wet brine soak went into the smoker this last weekend. Ate my last bit this morning. It's been a long winter and the snow is melting fast. Hoping to get to my first fishing trip within the next few weeks. Got a few new places to try and new flies to put on. I know the first few catches will be a fight on how they get cooked. She like to fry them up and I like to smoke them. Anyways here's looking to this years fishing season. Good luck to all!! Dave G. 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2017 I never tried smoking fish, course it might help if I had a smoker. She likes grilled LL salmon, I can take or leave that. I do like grilled brown trout. We both like pan fried in some butter, small stream brookies and spring caught crappie. Sea bass ( generally we catch these if we are going to, in later May) can be grilled, broiled or baked.
