Claudia 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2008 keep em coming......... it really sucks for me im almost out of fly tying hooks and it is not even christmas i have ten left and i am saving them for this weekend to tie. my mom has banned me from fly shops until christmas is over (same with fishing) <_< :help: :help: :help: :crying: :wallbash: youre a good young man lissening to youre mom sins im so far away from you, it will not help if i send you some hooks now, but i have an ide' for you. you need: copper wire from the inside of a old lampwire (allready broken, dont go cutting anything until youre sure you may har har) those plastic tubes from earcleaning tips (ask mom if you may take some) a lighter a nail, you need to cut of the head or hammer it flat so you can fix it in youre vice. now you can tie tube flies until next year pretty much for free without breaking any rules from youre mom ( i hope :innocent: ) this might bee a little help on the way till you may go flyfishing shop again... Also, go through your flies and pick out the junk... anything that didn't turn out right, or stuff that isn't on par with what you can tie now. Take a razor blade to them and try again. I have a small jar of flies I tied when I was first starting. Just a bunch of stuff that really isn't that good. Every once in a while I'll clean off a few of them and re-tie on the hook. Keep tying!
