I made mine from an Ikea child stool $4.99 Pictures are taken from the Web, mine is painted Olive Green on the outside, so I don't spook Grass Carp.

Experiments with Wood Duck feathers
freeflyfree replied to USCGFlyGuy's topic in The Fly Tying Bench
I can see shrimp, crab patterns, when I look at those feathers, maybe claws..don´t know. Do a google Search with "matuka style flies" and you'll see more posibilities with those feathers. Felipe -
4wt floating tropical fly line
freeflyfree replied to freeflyfree's topic in Fly Fishing Gear & Techniques
Thanks, Capitán! I contacted some manufacturers and got replies from RIO and SA pointing to their 5wt bonefish lines as their lightest tropical line. Cortland says their Trout Boss should withstand the heat. There is also this Monic All-weather clear floating that could be an option. I was fishing in the canals doing long casts and the line I was using was tangling a lot for being too limp. It's my first time using a 4wt rod in freshwater in south Florida. So I had no clue. Thanks! -
