Hi, I am from Toronto, Canada. I am 48 years old, leading a forced retirement on account of having become disabled following an auto accident. Have severe chronic lwer back and cervical pain radiating into my legs which does not permit me to fish as often and for as long as I would like to. Helps take my mind off my problems. I took up fly fishing and fly tying recently though have been float fishing using flies for a number of years. Mainly fish for trout, salmon and steelhead though do go occassionally for bass, perch and other pan fish during the season. I got introduced to fly tying by the owner of an angling store who is very experienced in fly tying and rod building. He helps, gives advise when requested and provides me with videos on fly tying which helps. Am planning to introduce my 9 year old son to fly tying soon as I have become comfortable with tying at least two dozen different flies. Will post photos of flies at a later date.
