  3. Hey, I was wondering if any of you guys on here know anything about which common chicken breeds have good dry fly hackle? Im getting some chickens this summer and I was wondering what species to buy that produces nice hackle. Thanks
  4. I recieved a really old patch of hair in the mail from an uncle and it has no name on the package for it. All it says is HDGC. It is a brownish gray hair that is fairly long and has black tips. The patch is about 6"x6". Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
  5. What are some good small creeks to fish in Yellowstone National Park in July?
  6. Hey, This summer I am going to be going out west on a camping trip to Yellowstone. I mainly fish SE MN, and I was wondering what are some of the biggest differences bewtween fishing out west and fishing in the midwest. Also, could you please tell which streams would be good for a beginner fisherman in the west (I wont be hiring a guide) and some flies that are productive around July. Thanks
  7. What are your favorite type of flys to tie?
  8. I'm new to the site and I was wondering what is a fly swap? How do these work? Thanks.

    Capes

Ive always bought the Whiting Pre-Packaged hackle, but now I'm thinking about buying a full grizzly hackle cape. My question is, how do would you use it? Is there any special way in which your suposed to cut the hackle or measure it? I'm afraid that I would ruin it or something. I know this seems like a really stupid question, but I'd appreciate it if someone could give me some feedback. Thanks
  10. those are some good looking bass bugs
