  5. Three drunk guys walking out of a bar and get in a taxi. the driver knowing they are drunk starts the engine then turns it off and say "we have arrived at your destination" the first two guys pay and get out of the car, but the third one slaps the driver. The driver thought the man knew what he did but asked the man why he slapped him? The man replied "next time slow down you almost killed us"
  6. I do that but I use an old pen loop and loop the thread around the tip twice then put then put the pen over the hook eye and pull the thread tight ( the two loops make a locking half hitch almost) then add a little touch of super glue and call it beautiful
  7. Well if its clouser minnows And a woolly bugger takes about 5-10 mins
  8. Um you know I'm not sure i will have to fill a bucket and see if it sinks right lol if not i geuss I need some barbells
  9. I use a lot of deer hair, for mice, muddlers, and clousers the clousers I have pictures of, which do you guys think is better the one with more white or less white?
  10. tied some mice (three of them, haha) and some woolly's, and brown and white (natural) clousers criticism? This is the first clouser I tied
  11. Thanks for all the help, I think I will look into the whiting 100 pack or half capes. and Utyer thanks spell check doesn't like fly tying terms sorry.
  12. Thanks, I think I will look in to some maybe whiting 100 packs for like size 10,12, and 18 (the hook sizes I have and want to tie)
  13. Okay so if this is already posted I apologies , I couldn't find it. I am relatively new to fly tying , been doing it about 6 months. I have gotten good at doing the palmated style hackle on wooly buggers. When i try things like parachutes and Adams (stuff with small nice looking collars) i can't ever get my hackle to sit side by side it just kindof bunches all together and looks like crap. I am using the cheap Indian hen hackle from J. Stockton , what kind of hackle would be best for dry flys like that , I don't want to spend a ton of money (that's why I bought the $5 hen hackle) lol. And also any tips to help it look better? Last question ..... Should I use legit fly tying hooks or are regular bait hooks okay ? Thanks
