Tied some gartside gurglers in white with green flash in the tail the other day. . Bass were all over them. Went yesterday and nothing. First day I tried them it was cloudy and raining, lots of takes, landed two. Yesterday sunny, no takers. I sat and watched bass key in on real frogs while I got rejected.

31 years old, married with a 6 month old son. Got back into fly fishing last year to fish Linville gorge and cut my pack weight. Got tenkara rod. Started tying flies as a hobby a couple months before baby. i think I'm making good progress but need ideas, advice and critic of flys and tackle. Started fly fishing Yampa river and backcountry around Steamboat Spring 10 years ago when I was a ski bum/ collage for trout and pike. Mostly fishing for bass and bluegill here around Charlotte. Leaving tomorrow for lake Hartwell,ga to our families lake house for bass and gar.
