Salmon dry fly hackle

Does anyone sell saddles for salmon dries in sizes 10 to 6 ? I have Whiting and Metz saddles but almost all are size 12 and smaller , Thanks ................Frank

Saddles are always going to have a limited range of feathers. A standard neck/cape should have the sizes you seek. They generally have a much larger range. Either a lower grade 1/2 neck or a "pro-grade" cape should be cheap enough to justify the extra expense for what sounds like a limited number of patterns.

check with Collins hackle farm great guy to buy from, I ordered his grab bag and there seems to be a good number in that size on each saddle.

I'm going to stick my head up and say you don't need 'dry fly' hackles for salmon dries. I've tied plenty that will keep a #10 salmon hook afloat using a pro grade whiting cape and cheap Indian necks

I just ordered from Collins and agree his saddle hackles would be up to the job

 

Whiting American rooster would work too
