This was my first post as I've always been a lurker. Didn't realize that my status was "Bait Fisherman". Got to improve on that.... :bugeyes:
ILikeFish points out that most patterns are spinners, although there are plenty of parachute dry patterns also. This is probably due to the emergence of tricos as duns takes place underwater. They float up to the surface. The males come up during the middle of the night while the females follow during the early morning hours. The sexual swarm that you often see during mid- to late-morning, resulting in a spinner fall. I would imagine that the trout are feeding upon the emerging duns but we usually are not fishing during those hours. During the Spinner Fall, we tend to be as excited as the swarming tricos. :yahoo:
