bluegill576 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2011 To add to what mdraft said they are used for fish who try to injure their prey(things like trout, but not bass who eat prey whole), they bite the tails of the fish, so a tube fly in theory would increase hook ups, but I have never had any better success with the flies.
