As I was tying some big Fat Albert's last night, I realized that they probably wont even hit the water until late summer. Some flies that I tie, I can toss out all year round. Some have to wait for the right season. Do you keep that in mind when you sit at your vice, or are you like me and tie up whatever you feel like?

I tie for the fishing season, which is whenever I go! My fly boxes are already full, I still keep tying, and buying more boxes.

I used to tie to keep a box filled with essentials but the last few years I have tied alot so I have lots of backups . Allows me to fish heavily weighted flies more agressively and not get so bummed when I lose em. Has improved my fishing
