  1. Nearly ready, another week should see them sent. :yahoo:
  2. That probably explains it mate. The fellow who sent me a message gave me the above two spellings; no wonder I can't find the flipping things!
  3. Anyone know where I can find these feathers? I can't find them here in the UK.
  4. I'm In! Pattern: TBD. My last swap for a bit, I have plenty to be working on!
  5. I would be happy to tie: 1. Twist Nymph. & 2. Sparkle Caddis. Let me know what you think.
  6. Machiavelli if it's big and interesting then welcome to the swap. Where in the UK are ya from? Ian Heya Ian, I'm in good ole' Lancashire. I will post a few pics later of what I'm thinking for the fly. Thanks again mate.
  7. Any chance I could join in? Since all my gear has been pinched I could use some cheering up. I'm borrowing some materials etc off a few friends so I should be able to put something interesting together. Edit: Should be noted that I'm in the UK, but I fish for pike in Scotland on a regular basis. I could certainly put something big and interesting together.
  8. Well, I just returned home from my father’s, nipped out to my cellar and saw the door off its hinges. Unfortunately some unscrupulous little buggers have decided to steal all my fishing and fly tying gear. I’m currently feeling quite low. I have only recently joined this forum; however, I have been quite an avid fisherman for a few years now. I had only recently started tying and had invested significant funds into the hobby. I was just starting to enjoy myself having used one of my own flies to catch a fish for the first time last week. I feel so angry and disheartened. I was planning on purchasing a new vise this afternoon, but the funds will have to be spent securing the damn door. :frusty: Anyway, I’m not going to be fishing or tying for a very long time. I’m a full time postgraduate student so I can’t really afford to go out and replace everything. Most of my rods were presents from my 21st, etc. I’m in complete shock – very frustrating. I also lost some salmon flies that were made for my father when he was a boy – memories can never be replaced. I’m going to make sure that I keep my fishing equipment in a more secure place in future. Make sure you do the same; I would hate to think of this happening to anyone else. Lesson learned. (Sorry for the rant, just feeling really angry :gun_bandana:) Edit: I live in a sleepy little village in the UK. The police think that I may have been targeted by someone off a fishing forum. Always be very careful when sharing details, etc. You never know who is reading.
  9. Hey folks, I'm interested to know where I can purchase the plastic organizers with lots of little drawers online cheaply. Unfortunately they seem quite overpriced at my local shops. Thanks for the help.
