saltwater bugs for the 'glades

Recommended Posts

Found myself adding a bit to two different threads (on two different sites) in the last few days that might be of interest to folks on this board...

The first is about patterns for this time of year in the Everglades...

http://forums.floridasportsman.com/showthread.php?250423-flamingo-flies

the second is about fly patterns and set-ups for cobia...

https://www.microskiff.com/threads/anyone-ever-get-a-cobia-on-the-fly.47993/

As we move into fall I'll be fisihng a lot more fly anglers (I hope...). On Monday we found good numbers of snook along the Gulf coast just north of the Little Shark river - all of them holding tight to structure and feeding on the great amount of bait that is a feature during October.... The fish weren't monsters (best only 26"...) but willing to hit any lure or fly that came their way...

Be a hero... take a kid fishing.
