I'm a retired Anchorage, Alaska cop and also operated a float plane bush pilot hunting and fishing service. Moved to Issaquah, Washington for a couple years, then to Carbondale, Illinois (2 years) to teach Law Enforcement at Southern Illinois University. After that, I moved to native Virginia. I bought a mini-farm near the southern Blue Ridge mountains and plan to live out my so called golden years seeking native brookies and wild trout and making the best of my many hobbies.

Fly tying and fishing are my main hobbies but I also enjoy pen making and other wood working projects, wooden lure making, carving animals and fish, walking sticks, hunting, ballistics and reloading, beekeeping, and working on my mini-farm. Gave up my cows and breeding chickens, exotic pheasants and jungle fowl, but may start up again soon. I like the gratitude I feel when people say "thank you".
