Look for some select peacock eyes and strip the quills with a erases or a bleach bath. Those eye pisses are where the light and dark contrast comes from.

hey all i was tying up some yellow stone flies and i am running out of BUGSKIN. for those who don't know it was a leather like body material that gave a realistic appearance to nymphs and stuff. i cant find it on line and my local shop is closed until tomorrow. thanks

hey all, i am tying a red quill pattern for north east PA. i havent tied this pattern in a few years and i cant remember where i got red quills from. any ideas on where to get a good red quill body or what can i strip to make a nice one??? thanks!
