There will be 20 posts the one with the most points will win absolutly nothing well besides the fact they can correctly identify more bugs than the other fly fishermen here. Hints - The flies are native to the North East (PA). Fly #3 ---------- Current standings JasonN - 20 ---------- Name this fly: Time - Sept 2nd Length - 4mm Description - This fly is virtually black with white bands along the abdomen. It has three white tails and clear wings on its spinner version. They emerge and mate along the edges of streams by pools. Can you name this fly? ---------- Correct anwser is Is it A trico. JasonN 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 Male Tricorythodes. Species is probably stygiatus or minutus, maybe allectus but that one's a lot less common. If you can actually tell the species of Tricos apart at a glance you're a better man than I. I fear I've been beaten to the points! Noooooooo.....
