Recommended Posts

Guest

Ok I think Its time to start a new swap

1. Streamers - nice flat winged or bucktail and other hair

(Cassic or your own createtion) size limit will be #10-#2 hook

(no treable hooks)

Deadline will be Feb 1 2004

Before joining Fly swap read Rules any questions should be directed to the swapmister.

Swapmister needs to have your Email address when joining swap

1.Flies will be tied according to the specific rules of the swap.

(Dry fly, Wet fly, Nymph, streamer, Etc.)

2. (Toe tag flies) each fly will need to have a small piece of paper attached to the bend of the hook with the swappers name on it. (This makes it easy for swapmister to divide up prier to being sent back)

3. Flies will be mailed in a crushproof box. Antoids cans are perfect (Please no expensive Trout fly cases)

4. Box will be sent to swapmister (with a stamped self-addressed envelope)

(Do not put postage money in envelope)

5. Flies will be mailed on or before deadline date.

6. This swap will be limited to 12 swappers Plus the swapmister

To be counted reply to this post with (I'm in)

Sorry if this sounds stupid but could you define streamer help.gif I am confused. I am just learning to tye fresh water flies. I know how to tye plenty of salt patterns but get lost with fresh water terminology.

Streamers of course are not limited to only baitfish that was just an example, Wooly Buggers, matukas and probably a million other patters are considered "streamers".

Oh wonderous one. What if I tied a pheasant tail on a streamer hook. Then, could it be classified as a streamer?!?!?!?!? (hm...just something to think about) huh.gif
