I beefed up the tail a bit to give it a bit more buoyancy - the original pattern was tied with 3 bucktail fibers. hook - TMC 5212 #6 thread - Danville 6/0 black tail - moose body hair rear hackle - brown rib - small tinsel gold body - Congo Hair gold front hackle - brown wing - duck quill segment mash barb, start thread, wrap to bend clean, stack, measure (hook length) some moose body; tie in/trim tie in hackle, wrap to hook point; tie off/trim tie in tinsel move thread to 2/3 mark, tie in CH; wrap to rear hackle and back, tie off/trim spiral rib; tie off/trim tie in front hackle; wrap to 1 eye width back from eye, tie off/trim prep matching duck quill segments (gap width); tie in with pinch wrap trim butts, whip finish, SHHAN Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
