Recommended Posts

Just off the bench is this 11'3" MHX Steelhead & Salmon bait casting rod complete with Roberts style spiral wrap arrangement for the guides which smoothly transfer the line from the top of the rod to the bottom of the rod. Complete with St Croix grips, Fuji guides and Kegan hook keeper.

I don't get those. Not that I don't like them. I just don't get them.

How does it look when the rod is being flexed? Do you have to use precise placement in order to keep the line off the blank?

Rod looks awesome! Great work!

There's isn't an exact angle for each guide, but they normally end up at about 45,100,180 degrees or there abouts is what keeps the line off the blank. Looks good flexed out, nice smooth transition to the bottom of the rod. Reason for soing it is that it eliminates the rod/reel wanting to torque to the side when fighting a big fish. They look funny, but works really nicely.
