we wont be fishing for a few weeks here sorry to say most of the rivers are still in flood stage and a few dams have either broke or threating to. Keep an eye on the charts. What river are you looking at fishing? -

I've used a five wt before, just because I forgot the second eight wt. I let the kid I was taking out use my eight. I caught two on my five, wont do it again cause it is hard on the fish but was fun.

So simple but yet so beautiful and effective pattern great flies and sbs :headbang: -
do you add a drop of super glue on the bottom? i tie it like a parachute also. Then tie off cut and add a drop of superglue fold the top under the bottom of the hook and then trim it so its more round

An attempt a a semi classic style pattern except I have not had salmon hooks for years. Orange hackle tail, gold tinsil body, wine ultra wire br rib, orange and blacked barred hair from a zonker strip, orange super brite dub and orange hackle colar

I always thought it was funny actually putting a hook through a rock and not realizing it and try to cast it. Then hit myself in the back of the head
