Looks like a good crappie and gill fly, however.... I would also give it a shot at steelies!

awesome fly, as soon as i saw it i tied it and took it out to the water....was catching some bass and panfish with it. thanks for the step-by-step as well.

The WICKED WORM works thumbsup.gif I caught 3 'gills and 2 small largemouth bass using binfordw's pattern. One black and one yellow.

I used them at a neighborhood pond, casting near tullie beds. I used a stutter retrieve...couple of short pulls, pause, pull, etc..

Hang it under a VOSI - vertical oriented strike indicator, and I'm sure it'll work great!

Used the Wicked Worm today and it was a success. Tied them in black, yellow and tan. Caught gills and bass on all colors. This is a winning fly. Thanks for sharing it.

i was thinking the same thing steelie. gotta get back to the bench, it has been to many months without tying to replace anything.
