Dear FTF Member,
Support FTF by Subscribing to Hatches Today! 2011 Issue - In Stock
Since 2003 FlyTyingForum.com has grown from a handful of people to 30,000 registered members and has become the largest fly tying community in the world. In 2007 I published the first issue of Hatches because I felt the FTF community could offer a printed magazine that far exceeds anything the fly tying world has ever seen published. To this day, Hatches is largely made up of articles submitted to me by FTF member and FTF will continue to play a large role in the future of Hatches. Hatches truly is a grassroots effort, unlike many of the other publications in circulation that have the backing of large media corporations. The future of both Hatches and FTF depends on the support of FTF members like you. For $7 a year, you not only help ensure that I have the resources needed to be able to offer you all of the features you enjoy today free of charge, you also get 96 pages of pure fly tying awesomeness that is worth the price by itself. Click Here for Subscription Info Thank You -Will

I am sure your wondering where this is going. I am wondering about your accent and french. Here in Nova Scotia there is a strong acadian heritage, and after all I think most cajuns were desendants of the acadians. Living in Yarmouth I worked unloading cargo ships for a bit and met a few people from france. I grew up in Ontario and also met people from Montreal, a differnt french once again. I have heard a few people talk and there accent from your neck of the woods. I bet your french is differnt once again. I dont speak the language but would like to learn it. In Canada to work in the goverment I think you must be fluent in bowth french and english. In one of your posts you mentione accents. I said wiat till you come here and maybe Newfoundland well I think you would probally would understand the talk like 90. Have a good thanks giving old soul and take it easy on desert. headbang.gif

i speak fluenet french Daryn but it has a little different tone than the canadian french. my cajun accent blends with this french language and well, from what i get from others i speak too, it sure is something to hear, hehehehe. i actually spoke french before i spoke english. my grandparents only spoke french . my parents spoke french to each other and spoke english to my brother and i. my kids speak no french at all and it's sad because the culture is lost in three generations time.

Luc courturier is from canda, i believe the montreal area. at sommerset we spoke to each other in french and he said he understood the french i was speaking. i've run into other folks from canada and we understood each other clearly. some words are different but the basics are the same. like i said. i just have that deep cajun accent that in my opinion, compliments the language.
