Hey BFR,

Wow, what a difference a year can make, I feel the same way when looking back a year. I wondered who tyed that dragonfly, looks like one of the contest flies I recognize. Your dragonfly looks awesome!!!

Just imagine the flies you'll be producing in a year from now. This really is exciting stuff, and I agree with you, the sharing of techniques and materials benefits us all.

Cheers,
Graham

Great to see the progress. I do think that this forum in addition to being an invalable resource also pushes us to try things we may not otherwise do and never settle. Well done BFR and I look forward to seeing next year's edition.

You know that I looked at that dragon when the voting began and really appreciated the style of it. It has a very personal style of tying as well as beeing very realistic, it sure looks great!

We all keep pushing each other forward and as Graham says just imagine what patterns we will be doing in a year if we keep helping each other. I mean, just look at my first realistic that I posted here back in early june:

Alot of improvement since then... biggrin.gif

I agree, your dragon fly looks real good, especially clinging to the bull rush. I also can state for a fact that all the info sharing on this forum has improved my tying tenfold. I am determined to learn and tie the salmon flies. I want to feel comfortable with it but will be back tying realistic, as art and fishing flies. The techniques you guys come up with and openly share is beyond anything a fly tyer could ask for. Thanks
