it appears you even got the proper number of hackle wraps for a classic dry fly!

Out on the Great Salt lake We use 16' 15wt. Rods to throw these. Talk about Chuck and Duck! We never go alone because if one hits you in the back of the head your out cold face down in the water.

Vice grips will work in a pinch,ya get just a little too much hook slipage. Here is a pic of my vise.

 

Hydraulic driven. 60,000 lbs clamping force.
