Whits BH Rubber Leg Squirrel New Pattern Database Submission

Dear FTF Member,
Support FTF by Subscribing to Hatches Today! 2011 Issue - In Stock
Since 2003 FlyTyingForum.com has grown from a handful of people to 30,000 registered members and has become the largest fly tying community in the world. In 2007 I published the first issue of Hatches because I felt the FTF community could offer a printed magazine that far exceeds anything the fly tying world has ever seen published. To this day, Hatches is largely made up of articles submitted to me by FTF member and FTF will continue to play a large role in the future of Hatches. Hatches truly is a grassroots effort, unlike many of the other publications in circulation that have the backing of large media corporations. The future of both Hatches and FTF depends on the support of FTF members like you. For $7 a year, you not only help ensure that I have the resources needed to be able to offer you all of the features you enjoy today free of charge, you also get 96 pages of pure fly tying awesomeness that is worth the price by itself. Click Here for Subscription Info Thank You -Will

I don't often use nymphs for bass, but when I do this is a good bet. It is also excellent for crappie, gills, trout, and carp. A bit of an 'all-around' headbang.gif

Mike, last summer when the water was so low and clear we seen the smallies feeding on nymphs and I couldn't buy a fish with a streamer. We came back with the trout boxes and nailed a ton of fish, so I am a new convert to fishing nymphs in those conditions.

This one gets a bookmark. headbang.gif

I'm thinking big bluegills at Conesville. It might be a bit early, but I'm even thinking of making a run for in on Friday. Time for a vacation day, and that fly just convinced me I'll be fishing for bluegills.

Somehow I missed this one earlier. Great job, Mike!!! This looks like a killer bass/carp/panfish fly. Wish I had this fly in my box last spring.

Looks like about a sz 12 hook. Is that right?? I plan to tie some up to try in our farm pond.

I often go to nymph fishing when fishing is tough too, I don't know where I read this but they called it the M&M tactic. So you may be pissy or not feel hungry so the thought of eating something large isn't that appetizing, let alone having to chase it down and subdue it. But if I put a bowl of M&M's infront of you, no fuss no muss. It is very ease to snack. I've seen this true with my fishing.

I am never found without a nymph box while SM fishing.
