Look in a craft store for a little bag of foam cut iuts, shaped like bugs. I found one with dragon flys, beetles, and all sorts of stuff in it. Just dubb a body on a hook and tie on the foam body. The foam has wings and tail right there, and you can color them with markers.
Thanks Nick N

can you post a picture? I have to teach a fly tying class(es) at the local 4-H super-saturday coming up in Feb. and this might be something good for the 5th graders to do.
Thanks

most craft stores should have them, if they dont, they wouldnt be too hard to cut out with a pattern. You can really jazz up some of the dragonfly ones with some paint, legs, antellae, all sorts of stuff.
