Since 2003 FlyTyingForum.com has grown from a handful of people to 30,000 registered members and has become the largest fly tying community in the world. In 2007 I published the first issue of Hatches because I felt the FTF community could offer a printed magazine that far exceeds anything the fly tying world has ever seen published. To this day, Hatches is largely made up of articles submitted to me by FTF member and FTF will continue to play a large role in the future of Hatches. Hatches truly is a grassroots effort, unlike many of the other publications in circulation that have the backing of large media corporations. The future of both Hatches and FTF depends on the support of FTF members like you. For $7 a year, you not only help ensure that I have the resources needed to be able to offer you all of the features you enjoy today free of charge, you also get 96 pages of pure fly tying awesomeness that is worth the price by itself. Ok guys and gals here is your chance at getting a quality piece of work. I am taking orders for fly boxes and vise bases the price is $50 for the base and $40 for the boxes shipped within the USA. Ten dollars from each item will be donated to the ftf.

Here is the details
Boxes: 3"x5" black walnut front side will have your choice of fish burnt into it along with your screen name or real name and on the back will have the ftf logo burnt into it larger boxes are available

Vise bases:12" x 6" black walnut capable of receiving a 3/8" vise post the bottom of the base is fitted with 4 felt anti scuff pads to protect the surface you sit it on. There is a 1" x 2" magnet to hold hooks 1" x 4" piece of cork on the side for finished flies the back rail is drilled to hold your tools and the side rail is fitted with doll rods to hold up to 6 spools of thread in the middle has a ftf logo burnt into it the bases are very sturdy I use one I made when I spin deer hair so they hold up well.

here are some pics of the base and the box I made for smallie hunter this is the largest box I make and also have a pick of my bluegill box which is the size I am offering here

Just curious how long you will be offering to make these? I don't really have the funds to buy one now, but I'd love one sometime in the future when my bank account allows it. This is really great work by the way, I wish I could burn wood. Beautiful work.

I got one from Riff and I have to tell you that they are very nice boxes. It's awesome to have a handmade box that looks much different from everybody elses.

Hi:

Please PM me and lets talk about getting me one of the fly boxes made. I would love to own one and would like to discuss further about personalizing.
