Yes Arkle ,you are so right. I ordered some scud/grub hooks and I am still waiting on them . I got impatient and bent up a 4X streamer hook. This is a simple tie and would work as a fishable on the correct hook. I think this pattern grays the line between fishable and realistic.Grubs are such simple creatures that it is easy to add all their charectoristics. Realistic or not , fit to the right hook I would tie this pattern to fish.Fred Thanks Fly tyer Guy. For your kind comment.Fred
DHise 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2008 Wow, awesome Fred. You dont need a hook point on that one; the fish will swallow it

Scott V 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 Nice tie Fred, We just tore up my lawn over the weekend to put in a nice new one and I saw lots of grubs under the old lawn and what you have tied is a dead ringer for them. Nice job.
airedale 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2008 Hehehe! Looks like the waxworms my geckos like to eat... Don't send that to my house, or one of my lizards might be dead one morning... Great realistic!
